THE MUSIC

Neil Perch is the founder member of Zion Train and the owner and administrator of the Universal Egg and Deep Root record labels. He also owns and runs the Abassi Hi Power sound system.
Remix, Production and writing credits include, Gentleman, UB40 ('Homegrown' album 2003), 99 posse, Luciano, Beenie Man Earl 16, Jack Radics, Gregory Isaacs, Alton Ellis, Markus Stockhausen, Robert Miles, Patrice, Cashma Hoody, Prince Allah, Chumbawamba, Rootsman, Afro-Celt Sound System, Dub Syndicate, The Shamen, Ozric Tentacles, Gary Clail, Junior Reid, The Ruts DC, Merzbow, Loop Guru, Coil, Maxi Priest, New Model Army, Muslimgause, Headmix, Kava Kava, 10 Dubians, Zion Train, The Tassilli Players and The Power Steppers.
Neil has also been busy songwriting with artists on his own Deep Root label such as Earl 16, Fitta Warri and Junior Kigwa and writes lyrics alongside all of these artists.
Neil has been involved in all sorts of information dissemination from music to magazines, CD Roms to Internet Sites. Neil has also contributed songs to various soundtracks including Venice film festival award winner - Antonio Boccola's film - 'Fame Chimica'
Neil has been performing worldwide for over 15 years, blowing some minds and pumping up the Bass in Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia, USA, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Portugal, Zambia, Italy, Eire, Holland, Belgium, Japan, Serbia and the UK
Neil plays as dubmaster and electronics controller in both the Zion Train band and sound system shows, he djs dub and roots both with and without the amazing Abassi Hi Power sound system.

STUDIO
Neil's studio is in Cologne, Germany. and currently uses a Macintosh G4 dual processor machine amd emagic's logic' sequencer and recording software.
The studio runs two MOTU 896 and one 828 AD/DA converters, there is a Mackie 32:8:2 mixer. Monitoring is supplied by PMC monitors with Genelec sub woofers linked and Neil has an extensive collection of vintage analogue effects units that perch uses in full effect to live mix material written in the Macintosh through the Mackie desk.
There is a large live room and several mics are available including Neumann.
Synchronisation facilities and Protools use are situated in the partner studio, also in central Cologne.
