BACKGROUND: In 2003...after 30 yrs as a session drummer/percussionist....incl work with Rico....Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell etc.....jim bamber AKA Bamjimba formed a Production Co to release the " 1 LOVE " Cd....in aid of the UK Sickle Cell Society [see www.bamjimba.com ] which led to a chance to work with The Grammy Nominated producer Neil Fraser AKA The Mad Professor. THE MUSIC: "Wake-Up DUB" is a track from the Bamjimba single released in 2004.....in aid of the "Make Poverty History" campaign...originally a tribute to Miles Davis & John Coltrane....this is a magical re-working dubwise....by one of the top reggae producers in the world. Together with a new vocalist "El Fata" from Nigeria & MC's Jah Ducks & General Sensi......Bamjimba is currently working on a new CD, produced at ARIWA in London which will be released early in 2006.
