THE MUSIC

Joe Ariwa......has been around for sometime on the UK Dub scene.
Like all "overnight successes"...!, he has been dubbing tracks since a youngster in his fathers studio in South East London.

His father is Neil Fraser AKA The Mad Professor ! Joe has been working as an engineer @ Ariwa Records for years. He engineered & produced the latest Bamjimba CD "ROUTES" (voted best Reggae Album in UK 2006 by David Katz in Q Magazine).... "JAH PRAISE DUB" is taken from this album.

He has worked with such luminaries as....Lee "Scratch" Perry....Sly & Robbie......Horace Andy....Max Romeo.....Jah Shaka....Earl 16.....etc etc the list is endless ! As well as touring the world with the "Mad Professor Dub Show"...,Joe now has his first solo CD out on Ariwa..."DUB TECH DUB".....a very inventive & new sound from a man who has grown up with Dub....it's in his genes and it shows here.

The voice on "JAH PRAISE DUB" is that of Nigerian vocalist EL FATA....who will have his own solo CD out in November....entitled "MIRACLE" on Astral Records.
Bamjimba AKA Jim Bamber released his first CD " 1 LOVE " in 2002 in aid of the UK Sickle Cell Society Charity......then a digital only EP....including a Track mixed by Mad Professor which was
included on "Roots of Dub Funk 5". His track "Dublove Al Pablo" was voted best Dubtrack of 2003 by German magazine "RIDDIM"

Bamjimba is a drummer/percussionist..taught at one stage by dubmeister/drummer Dennis "Blackbeard" Bovell. Now touring with a 7 piece ragga/afrobeat band feat: El Fata.
