This reggae band started in 1998 by musicians with diverse experiences and musical backgrounds: Gramacks, Manu Dibango, Suns of Arqa, Aswad, Salif Keitan, Incognito, The Last Poets, Percy Sledge, Ton Ton David, Human Spirit, Princess Erika, Tony Allen, Negmarron and Saint Germain. From their original riddim, Faya Dub extends reggae across the universal roots of black music: soul, jazz, dub, poetry, conscious lyrics, and rap. Jolly Jumpers Dub is a melting pot of the fifth continent like this unedited Indian remix with master Shyamal Matra on tabla and Zorica Stanojevic on violin and Johar Ali Khan on Indian violin. Faya Dub already recorded 2 albums, irie feeling (2000), and sings and plays (2001). They participated in the production and direction of Jamaican artist Stix Dans (travelling man, 2000) as well as Brazilian singer Joan Nascimentos, Simple, Complexo e natural (2001) In July 2002, they will release a third album: "Worldwide Reggae".
