Dub Funk Association
Roots
of Dub Funk 3 - 'Babylon kingdom'
DUBBING OUT OF: UK
THE MUSIC:
Kelvin
R comes back on "ROOTS OF DUB FUNK 3" with his own composition
under the 'Dub Funk Association' umbrella.
Combining
Stripped down 'one drop' dub with tempo effected Hip-Hop touched with
the merest hint of melody.
"Babylon Kingdom" is more menacing than previous DFA releases
and definitely touches areas of social commentary, which will be explored
in more depth on the forthcoming Dub Funk Association artist album coming
soon on Tanty. 'We are living in troubled times and this dub attempts
to reflect just
that'.
Every year the sounds and styles that the DFA have
been producing and releasing on record since 1992 are being increasingly
heard on many of today's dub based tracks that are being created, released
and sold all over the world. It is a good feeling to know that the DFA
and Tanty Records are not alone in trying to push forward the boundaries
of dub and heavy downtempo music.
