ROOTS OF DUB FUNK 6: Track 13 - "SHOW DUB LOVE"

THE MUSIC

"Piano B (Italian for "plan b") is the outernational project put together by the Italian producer Daniele Carmosino in 2002, when he was in London. It's an attempt to put together people from different background, different style of music and different moods; but it's all glued together by the rootsy and consciouss atmospheres.

The main voices of the project are Stamina Li, from Martinique, and Kaya, born in Jamaica but grown up in East London. But Piano B is also a meeting point for many international artists that collaborated in the past few years; to name a few: Sareal, Darwish, Suzanne Savage, Alexandros Sidiropulo, Copo, and many others.

The track "Show Dub Love" is a remix of the track "Show Love", from Piano B's first album "Outernational Attack". It's an example of "hibrid mixing": it has been mixed live, but recorded back on protools in separate tracks. This procedure allows to keep the live and human feel, while giving the possibility of going deep into eding afterwards to get all the details spot on on the producer needs.
At last it has been added a basson section in the choruses; this was due to a research of a new "sound"
that would merge the Jamaican DUB roots with the European one, coming from many centuries of classical music.
