The Disciples have a history in reggae and dub music productionstemming back to 1986. Their first productions were aired by thelegendary sound system of Jah Shaka who subsequently went onto release their first productions on his `King Of The Zulu Tribe`label. From `93 they took matters into their own hands and formed their own label `Boom-Shacka-Lacka` and released some of theUK dub scenes finest records, `Prowling Lion` & `Dub Revolution` amongst them. Later, underground label `Cloak & Dagger` went on to release what has been hailed as their finest dub album `Resonations`. Known more to the world for their dubwise excursions the Discipleshave more recently been turning their recording skills to a more con-temporary reggae style fueled by their love of Jamaican reggae music,they have formed their second label `Backyard Movements` and have released a number of singles with local and Jamaican singers. They have not given up on dub as can be seen and heard by their inclusion on the `Dub Funk Association: Sounds Of The Heavyweight` album. Future releases will see them focusing on all forms and styles of reggae music, the original `Bass & Drum ` music.
