THE MUSIC

Four other tracks of Social Living Sounds will be released on the "Dub Splitz 3, Heartcore Dub, Social Living Sounds meets Gary" on Dub Flash Records around January 2005. Mattias and A.L.X are also arranging regular roots-dub venues in Sweden called "Dub Club Stockholm" Our main Influences are Augustus Pablo, Hughie Isachaar and Glen Brown.

BACKGROUND

Mattias Lager aka Matthew Woods form the SOCIAL LIVING SOUNDS.

Ever since Mattias was a kid he has been hearing music all around him. His father always played a lot of Bob Dylan records every day, as well playing the guitar and singing own songs. At an early age, Mattias started to try to "remix" songs by only using a simple tape recorder sitting up till early in the morning listening and analysing the music and its components. Finally getting himself a keyboard with the possibility to make his own drum patterns and melodies he was hooked. Without any music education whatsoever, Mattias started to create songs and melodies. About a decade after moving to Stockholm (the Capital of Sweden) from the Westcoast, Mattias teamed up with his friend A.L.X and together they formed the producing duo.

STUDIO

Macintosh Based Pro Tools MIX system, with strictly internal plug-in effects, combined with MIDI programming in "Reason" (a Swedish made MIDI based software).
