ROOTS OF DUB FUNK 5 - Track 10 - "GUIDE I DUB"

The group concists of Mattias Lager aka "Matthew Woods" and Alexander Martyris aka "alx". Both with a background in the Hip Hop culture since early eighties.
Both got introduced to Reggae music in the mid-nineties,
inspiering eachother to explore the sounds of traditional Reggae music, which led more and more to the spiritual sounds of deep Roots and Dub Music.

Matthew Woods is a self thaught player of the melodica, inspiered greatly by his father who is a dedicated singer-song writer.

Alx is more the sound egineer/technician-type with long experience working as a producer at different commercial radio stations. He started his musical career producing Hip Hop beats for different rap acts in Sweden. He got into producing Dub in 2000, and is now strictly dedicated to the "Art Of Dub".

"Social Living Sounds" create their masterpieces in a PC-based Pro Tools set-up
with strictly internal plug-ins/effects, combined with the MIDI based, swedish-
produced software "Reason". The combination of M. Woods musical talent,
and the technical side of alx, makes the ideal fusion to create the harmonic,
but yet ruff sound of Social Living Sounds. The producing duo also have their own sound system and holds regular venues in Stockholm/Sweden called "Dub Club Sthlm". Dub Club Sthlm is a strictly Roots-Reggae-Dub-venue with the combination of a sound system set up and live singers and musicians.
