Roots of Dub Funk - 'East of Bacchus Marsh'

1999 - 2000 has been an interesting year for Trevor 'The Technician' McKenzie. Trevor has now been living in Australia for 3 years. From Australia he linked up with Alpha and Omega to re-mix "Show me a Purpose". The mix carried out for Alpha and Omega is called "Zion's Purpose", which will hopefully get a release on the French label Bangarang. 'The Technician' has also linked up with Wayne 'The Negotiator' Huf, for the post mastering of his tracks. Trevor has kept in constant contact with Kelvin Richard of Tanty Records and as part of the Dub Funk Association created the tracks "Trojan Horse" and "Family Affair" which can be found on the CD "SOUNDS OF THE HEAVYWEIGHT" (TNTYCD 005) and has recently mixed and produced "East of Bacchus Marsh" for the consumption of all Dub lovers featured on the CD "ROOTS OF DUB FUNK" (TNTYCD 006).

Trevor has also been working on a personal project, a trilogy of dub albums call "Eve of Destruction", "Day of Destruction" and "The Day After". Jesse I of the "Chant down Babylon" Programme has already played some of these tracks (Dub Plates) on PBS Radio Melbourne Australia Radio show.

Trevor 'The Technician' McKenzie's dub musical influences still remain the same, and hopes the listener enjoys his involvement in the "ROOTS OF DUB FUNK" album. Further tracks of 'the Technician' will be felt and heard via the Dub Funk Association collective in the near future.
