Hi Kelvin!

Hope you're doing well. Congratulations on the "Roots of Dub Funk"
release. Amazing stuff.

I'd like to feature an interview with you in the next Full Watts mag. That's
the reggae zine I publish. It's a small publication, but I think it
would be good exposure for all the great works you do.

Sep has already e-mailed me a bunch of photos and has been very helpful.
Maybe we could do the interview via e-mail?

All the best, Kelvin...and thanks for the music!

Greetings!
I hope everyone is having a great summer. We have had a great influx of new music lately, and I wanted to pass along a Top Ten List to everyone. But first, some news on this week's artists and another pet project of mine.
Tanty Records Release The Roots of Dub Funk.
With the following up to their "Sounds of the Heavyweight" release by The Dub Funk Association, Tanty records offers "The Roots of Dub Funk", featuring twelve of the hottest new dub tracks to surface this year. According to the Tanty press release:
"...Witness the hardcore Roots Radics-style dub of 'Return to the Controls'; the Shaka rumble city madness of 'Pure and Clean' [an exclusive remix]; King Jammy mixing desk-inspired dub of 'East of Bacchus Marsh' [a RadioVenus favorite]; as well as the low, low bassline workouts on 'Hot Get Hotter' and 'Jah Glory..."
Two other Radio Venus favorites are the futurist "Burn the Dub Down" by Cabal, and "City of Angels Dub" by Dub Funk Association.
Described by the label as "Dub the way it was. Dub the way it is. Dub the way it could be..." "The Roots of Dub Funk" is perfectly tailored to all of those who love have their bong rattled in mid-hit.
Many thanks to Sep at sfdubmission.com for hooking us up with this one.

Hello Kelvin,

I would like to thank you immensely for having sent me the CD containing
excerpts from the compilation "Roots Of Dub Funk".

Some weeks ago I have contacted the people at LIPP SERVICE and they have kindly
sent me a copy of "Roots Of Dub Funk" :)

What I appreciate from this compilation is that it presents the various
facets of Dub music, intertwined with many different influences and style.
Sampling, some break beat elements, electronic arrangements, etc, all
merging with the traditional deep dub groove.

It was interesting to also hear new material from your project The Dub Funk
Association, I particularly like "Natty Dread Kung Fu", "Hard Back Youth"
and "City Of Angels". I have to say that your compositions are among the
more original ones with nice samples, melodic synth lines and guitar playing.

Many thanks for having offered us the chance to discover all these
projects, I will sure include them on my radio show.

I wish you all the best with this new release, and please take great care.
