Following
the well-received album SOUNDS OF THE HEAVYWEIGHT by the Dub Funk Association,
(TNTYCD 005). Tanty Records are proud to present 12 of the hottest new
dub tracks to surface this year at the amazing mid-price of £6.99,

Bass in the place! The Sound system has always been an essential part
of Dub music. Since 1992 with the first release from the Dub Funk Association
'Creation', that 'big speaker box' experience has been integral to its
sound and in turn central to the tracks selected for this release.
Taking their inspiration from Jamaica where Sounds systems like 'Sir
Coxsone the Down Beat', Duke Reid's 'Trojan Sound' and 'King Tubbys'
ruled. The Nu generation of dub pioneers are seeking to weld heavy duty
roots dub techniques with dirtier, groovier and even more syncopated
melodic riffs and breakbeat/ Hip Hop style drum loops.
Trip Hop this is not! Nu Dub and Dub Funk it is.
On this 'Roots of Dub Funk' release we present the next wave of Dub
producers from all over the world. The Technician (Australia), the Interruptor
(Switzerland), Messian Dread (Netherlands), Dubware (Italy) and of course
not forgetting England with Alpha and Omega, Cabal, Dubclash, City Dread
and the mighty Dub Funk Association!
12 original tracks ranging from hardcore Roots Radics style dub from
'Return to the Controls', to Shaka rumble city madness from 'Pure and
Clean' to King Jammy's mixing desk inspired dub from 'East of Bacchus
Marsh' to low, low, low bassline workouts from 'Hot get Hotter' and
'Jah Glory' to frigged up break beatery from 'The Return of Sleng',
'Dub of the Sphinx', 'Hustlers Choice', Burn the Dub Down', 'Hard Back
Youth', 'City of Angels Dub' and incorporating the genius of King Tubby,
Santana and Martial Arts in 'Natty Dread Kung Fu'. It simply does not
get better than this!
The music may have moved on but the vibe remains the same. If you like
